Our Production Animal Specialists interact face to face with our customers, understand their needs and consult to offer the right solutions.

We work collaboratively in Field Sales Teams and play a critical role in supporting our customer centric business model.


Come and join our Company's Animal Health and dynamic sales team in Alberta You will be part of a team of account managers and veterinarians responsible for helping practicing veterinarians and producers use animal health products to improve the health of their livestock.

Reporting to the Regional Business Manager - Farm Animal Business Unit for Alberta, the Production Animal Specialist is responsible for:

Achieving the annual sales and business objectives within his/her territory by coordinating the development, implementation and monitoring of the Territory Tactical Plans, ensuring alignment with Regional and National Business unit objectives.

Understanding customers' needs (veterinarians and producers).

Communicating accurate and complete product information through ongoing calls on veterinarians with the goal of increasing sales and penetrating the market in the territory.

Conducting customer engagement meetings, attending product and sales training, and participating in conferences and conventions.

Identifying networks and developing solid working relationships with key customers including key opinion leaders and community advocates within his/her territory.

Completing tasks in a manner that is fully consistent with our company's commitment and values, industry standards, and all applicable regulations and laws.

Optimizing business potential in the territory through effective analysis, planning, implementation and organization of work.
Managing territory data through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and/or other relevant territory management tools.
Completing administrative duties such as short weekly reports, expense reports, and customer requests.


The Account Manager will be supported by a team in Alberta comprised of the Regional Business Manager, other Account Managers, and an experienced Technical Services Veterinarian Team.

The Alberta team is linked to other teams in Western Canada, nationally, and abroad.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, Science degree. Other types of degrees will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Sales experience in the fields of animal health or agricultural industry will be an asset. Any other experience will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Knowledge of Alberta's feedlot, cow-calf and equine sectors will be an asset.
Proficiency in office technology and related software.
Communication skills (both oral and written).
Presentation and facilitation skills will be an asset.
Self-starter with a broad range of people, business and strategic skills.
Selling skills and negotiation skills.
Maintaining a valid driver's license is mandatory.
