Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) is seeking an Administrative Assistant for Adolescent Services. Ontario Shores provides a range of specialized, tertiary care mental health programs for inpatients and outpatients.

Qualifications Required and PreferredQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
Graduate of a Community College Medical Office Administration/Secretarial Diploma or relevant Degree program;
Significant experience in an Administrative Assistant role, preferably in a health care setting
Demonstrated professionalism, diplomacy, creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm;
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written;
3 years secretarial experience in a professional environment
Knowledge of office procedures and guidelines
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word and Visio an asset) internet and intranet knowledge
Excellent keyboarding skills wpm).
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Proven excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral/written communication skills
Must have excellent grammar, punctuation, spelling and proofreading skills
Demonstrated excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, analytical, problemsolving, and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated planning and coordinating abilities
Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision
Ability to perform the physical demands of the position
Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard
Must be able to work flexible hours occasionally as program needs dictate.
Experience in a mental health or hospital environment
Experience with Meditech
