Position Summary


The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for supporting learning and development programs for employees at all levels at Straumann Group's Dental Wings facility in Montreal.

The focus of this role is on implementing creative and engaging learning solutions that drive business outcomes and provide value to employees, teams, and the organization.

Areas of responsibility include coordination, administration, facilitation, assessment, and creation of programs such as leadership and management development, career and skill development, and culture.

This individual will be a member of the North America Learning & Development Team and will participate in the Global Learning & Development Community of Practice.


Responsibilities:


  • This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:_
  • Organize and manage the administration of various learning and development programs in multiple formats including inperson, virtual, and eLearning
  • Facilitate various programs both live and virtually, including leadership and management development, culture, and skill development
  • Support with translation of program materials from English to Canadian French
  • Create and/or acquire tools to support learning and development programs and needs such as guides, SOPs and course materials
  • Maintain records of learning and development activities including registration, attendance, assessment results, engagement, and completion via an LMS
  • Administer program assessments, surveys, and feedback
  • Participate in the Global Learning & Development Community of Practice

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient written and spoken language skills in English and Canadian French
  • 35 years of experience in a learning and development, training or educationbased role
  • Prior experience coordinating training or learning events
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office programs including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), eLearning authoring programs, virtual classroom environments and employee engagement platforms preferred (experience with Absorb, Articulate 360, Adobe Connect or Glint a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detailoriented, organized, and agile with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment with multiple priorities
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and handles confidential information appropriately
  • Holds a curious mindset with the ability and desire to learn new skills and embrace change
  • Creates a welcoming environment for all, celebrates differences and encourages others
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Ability to travel with Canada and to the US up to 15%

General office environment. Must be able to lift between 20 to 50 pounds
