Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team,
Monday-Friday on a bi-weekly rotation - 6:30am-3:30pm and 3:00-11:00pm, and 1 Saturday per month. As a Crane Operator, this position requires strong operation skills, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Your primary responsibility will be to operate a crane while supporting the overall operations.

Safely operate a crane to lift, move, and position metal materials within the facility
Lift and transport metal materials using attachments such as magnets or grapples, and safely place them in designated areas or processing equipment
Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and load security
Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnel
Conduct pre and post inspections of the crane, including overall crane maintenance
You may be asked to operator the following heavy equipment: Crane, Shear, Loader
During any down time, you may be required to perform general yard maintenance, assist the rail team, and perform cleaning around the yard/department circle checks of machinery

Qualifications:

Crane Operator certification and/or experience is required
Minimum of 1 years of experience operating a crane in a heavy industrial setting
Attention to detail and the ability to accurately position and handle different types of metal materials
Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to crane operation and material handling
Comfortable using various crane attachments, such as magnets or grapples
Familiarity with metal recycling processes, materials, and specifications is advantageous
Must be comfortable working outdoors and in a heavy industrial environment
