Tasks:


  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
  • Receive and forward telephone or electronic enquiries
  • Work on reports from manual or electronic files, inventories and databases
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronically
  • Send and receive messages
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Prepare and format page presentation
  • Provide general information to clients and the public
  • File material in storage area
  • Label, file and retrieve documents
  • Organize and schedule office work
  • Prepare and monitor contracts and budgets
  • Store, update and retrieve financial data

  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenousowned businesses and organizations
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
