Department Overview

  • The Black Customer Segment team is focused on developing and executing bestinclass diverse customer strategies across the TD enterprise (Retail Banking, Business Banking and Wealth Management). This new opportunity has been created with a mandate of establishing a formal customer engagement strategy for clients from the Black Community. TD has a wellestablished Black Community program which supports our colleagues and community initiatives, and the introduction of this role would look to accelerate business development of our strategy to support the unique needs of this important TD customer segment.
  • This position will report into the National Manager, Black Community Business Development.

Job Details

  • Be a trusted advisor to leadership teams across the enterprise as a SME and act as a "face of the bank" and key liaison between TD and the Black community
  • Develop and lead the execution of the Black Customer Business Development Strategy. Accountable for amplifying the TD brand and the growth of personal and business portfolios by deepening existing customer relationships and driving new to bank business.
  • Deepening customer relationships and acquiring new to bank business in Black Community will require the incumbent to build and leverage internal and external networks as well as manage the market via involvement in the community.
  • Assist in developing a best in class distribution model focusing on a superior customer experience and financial advice at every interaction
  • Work with multiple internal business partners across the organization including: Retail, Wealth, Business Banking, Marketing, Community Relations, Corporate HR Diversity and Inclusion

Job Requirements

  • French Speaking is an asset
  • Strong background in Retail, Business Banking and Wealth
  • Strong sales management, business development and relationship management skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders/business partners to influence others and gain consensus
  • Strong people management and coaching abilities
  • Proven track record of executing with excellence
  • Organized and able to effectively manage multiple project and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically while executing on day to day priorities
  • Ability to confidently and professionally work with colleagues at all levels, including executives
  • Results oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), impact and influence skills to have impact with multiple stakeholders across multiple business lines
  • Must be a highly motivated selfstarter and can work independently or as part of a team

Additional Information

  • An undergraduate business degree or a combination of another postsecondary education and relevant work experience is strongly encouraged
