About the job:
- Conduct site specific orientations for new employees and trades.
- Verify and record the subcontractor's minimum required training cards and keep up to date records.
- Liaise between the field team and site management for issues.
- Ensure that the "Safety Bulletin Board" has been maintained properly.
- Inform the Site Superintendent and Project Manager of any noncompliant trades or documents.
- Ensure that the daily log on Procore is completed.
- Schedule and coordinate the work of trades, as directed by the Site Superintendent.
- Participate in site meetings, take minutes, and ensure that they have been distributed.
About you:
- A minimum of 2 years construction site experience on a residential project.
- Knowledge of construction technology and an understanding of the Tarion performance guidelines would be beneficial, along with knowledge of residential construction.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on scheduled work commitments.
- Ability to draft professionally formatted correspondence for internal and external use.
- Ability to focus, prioritize, multitask, and complete work on time.
- Ability to work within a busy construction setting, share various responsibilities and demonstrate ability to work independently.
Bonus points:
- Degree and/or Diploma in a construction related field or a suitable combination of work experience and education.
- Procore proficiency.
