    Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:

    As a **Associate Merchant**, you will play a key role in curating a profitable product range for Men's apparel. Your work will contribute to our overall strategy, aligning with the guidance from the Director of Merchandising, and focusing on delivering innovative solutions to fulfill customer needs while seizing brand opportunities. This position is based at our North Vancouver office and requires on-site presence. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

    Meet your potential team:

    The Merchandising team is responsible for shaping the seasonal product line for our various categories, influencing design direction, and driving sales, margins, and inventory targets in both wholesale and retail channels. This collaborative team closely partners with Design and Product Creation Development to plan future seasonal strategies and works with Merchandise Planning and Allocations to optimize in-season performance.

    If you were hired as the Associate Merchant, here are some of your responsibilities:
    • Implementing the merchandising strategy for Men's Apparel business units
    • Managing product categories to meet sales, margin, and inventory goals while aligning with brand vision
    • Overseeing the product lifecycle from development to retirement
    • Contributing to seasonal selling plans and global line strategies
    • Coordinating with international buying teams to address regional needs
    • Developing product frameworks for retail, wholesale, and digital channels
    • Researching market trends to drive product innovation
    • Collaborating on product briefs and brief presentations
    • Providing product knowledge and tools to global teams
    • Ensuring hangtag and packaging requirements are met
    • Working closely with Merchants on various tasks
    • Maintaining line lists accurately
    • Upholding ethical workplace standards
    Future tasks might include:
    • Supporting the execution of the **2024 seasonal merchandise strategy**
    Qualifications for the role:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Outdoor Retailor Global Merchandising
    • Understanding of retail math concepts and operational processes
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office
    • Willingness to travel for business needs
    • Passion for sustainability and the outdoors
    • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
    • Commitment to continuous improvement and ethical practices

    A competitive pay range of $69,000 to $86,000 CAD annually is offered for this role. The final salary depends on skills, experience, and education. The base pay does not include bonus programs and benefits.
