Your Opportunity
Due North is currently recruiting for a
Production Coordinator. The role is based out of Georgetown location.

The primary objective of the Production Coordinator is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between our departments according to our production schedules for all models and sub-assemblies.


Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules, conferring with department VP's, managers, and purchasing to determine progress of work and completion dates, and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.


What you will do

  • Calculate figures such as required amounts of labor and materials, manufacturing costs, and wages, using pricing schedules, adding machines, calculators, or computers
  • Prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, and purchase, maintenance, and repair orders
  • Compile detailed worksheets and specifications from customer orders, then plan production commitments and timetables for business units, specific programs, and/or jobs, using sales forecasts and orders
  • Compile information such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information, so that status reports can be completed
  • Ensure accurate inventory reports, recording the quantity, type and value of materials, equipment and stock on hand using a computerized inventory system
  • Confer with Manufacturing staff, suppliers and customers to coordinate and monitor production and shipping activities within our plant to ensure that supplies, materials and products are shipped and received on schedule, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays
  • Enter work orders and data for production scheduling, stock replenishment, relocation and inventory adjustments
  • Maintain files, documents and records such as product records, labels, routings, bills of materials, NCMR's and cost reports and ensure documents and changes are approved
  • Meet regularly with Manufacturing management, Distribution and Purchasing Agents to coordinate activities between our warehouse and production floors
  • Revise production schedules due to design changes, labour or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, and collaborate with our Executive Team when required

You Have

  • College Diploma in Material Management or Production and Inventory Control and/or completion of secondary school with development of jobrelated skills through onthejob training and jobrelated courses
  • 35 years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite( Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • ERP System experience considered an asset(e.g. SAP, Oracle, EPICOR)

Job Types:

Salary:
$46,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
