Indigo Park is looking for an Area Manager in Winnipeg. The Area Manager will be responsible for the coordination and day-to-day management of all functions (staffing, equipment, overall operations).

The Area Manager supports senior management in the budget development process and manages programs to ensure the successful development, maintenance and enhancement of client / customer relationships.

What Would You Be Doing?

Administration:


  • Manage the parking locations under their responsibility
  • Ensure that the needs of the client are met promptly, and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Manage all internal/external policies for the locations
  • Manage the service contract
  • Assist Senior Management with the annual budgets
  • Attend client meetings
  • Prepare purchase orders and approve invoices
  • Conduct regular, rate surveys to ensure each location remains competitive
  • Manage all personal injury, and damage claims
  • Regular lot audits
  • Assist with account receivable (A/R)

Operations:


  • Establish, and maintain proper operational procedures
  • Analyze the operation with a focus on improving service and efficiency
  • Coordinate with locations daily, to ensure smooth operation of the property
  • Assist General Manager to maximize total revenue
  • Manage Enforcement team and ensure that parking related issues are dealt with immediately
  • Establish and maintain proper staffing levels
  • Conduct regular, onsite training of staff, to ensure all internal / external policies are being adhered to (uniform, lot conditions, customer service, etc.)
  • Participate in biweekly Management meeting
  • Overseeing the day to day operations
  • Ordering and distributing of supplies required at the facilities
  • Scheduling equipment resolutions where required
  • Coordination of 3rd party suppliers
  • Review compliance to standards from 3rd party suppliers
  • Coordinate changes to operations during events scheduling and supervision of several associates among multiple business units
  • Monitoring the team's performance
  • Supporting the team by assisting with daily duties when required
  • Compliant Management (from both staff and customers)
  • Assisting in disciplinary actions
  • Maintaining equipment and uniform inventory
  • Maintenance, sign installation, traffic control
  • Other duties as required

Human Resources:


  • Manage and supervise the daily activities of the employees
  • Ensure that hiring policies are followed for each employee
  • Ensure that all terminations have the approval of HR and the General Manager
  • Conduct interviews for current and future staffing requirements
  • In collaboration with HR, take disciplinary measures when and where required
  • Approve all payroll for field staff

Marketing

  • Assist with coordination of advertisements and promotions for specific parking lots.

What Are We Looking For?

  • College diploma and / or a minimum of 3 years operational and management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and report on P & L statements
  • Proven customer relations experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong business and operational acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn on the job
  • Flexible availability
