NETWORK TECHNICIAN
Full-Time Permanent Position

Competition# MCFSA-NT

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 37.5 hours weekly

Classification and Salary:
IS1 $52,843 - $65,212 annually

Location: 150 Henry Ave Winnipeg, MB

Vacation: 4 Weeks' Vacation


Reporting to the Manager of IT, the Network Technician will play a vital role in providing technical assistance and support to our end-users.

This position involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.


Responsibilities:

Helpdesk Support: Provide first-level support to end-users, addressing IT-related issues promptly and efficiently.

Ticket Management: Effectively manage and prioritize helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution.

Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on computer systems and peripherals.

Network Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve network connectivity issues. Assist in the configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and other network devices.

Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, including manuals, SOP's, and knowledge base articles.

Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to escalate complex issues.

Adherence to Policies: Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and best practices.


A valid Manitoba driver's license and the use of a personal vehicle are requisites as this position will, regularly travel to Portage la Prairie, Brandon, Dauphin, Swan River, Thompson, and/or The Pas. Mileage and accommodations if required will be compensated.
