Samsic is HIRING - Baggage Handler
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Baggage Handling Associate to join our team at YUL.

As a Baggage Handling Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the airport's baggage area with Air France and KLM.

Your primary responsibilities will include unloading rush bags from the carousel, lifting and moving bags weighing around 60 lbs, going through secondary inspection and accurately tagging bags for delivery to passengers' addresses.

Responsibilities:

Retrieve baggage from the carousel and load it onto designated carts or conveyors for sorting and delivery.
Lift and maneuver bags weighing approximately 60 lbs to load them onto carts or transport vehicles, adhering to safety guidelines.
Collaborate with fellow team members to organize and distribute baggage according to flight schedules.
Accurately tag bags with relevant passenger information and destination addresses to ensure proper delivery.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other airport staff to maintain efficient baggage handling processes.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when lifting, moving, and handling baggage to prevent injuries.
Assist in identifying and resolving misplaced or mishandled baggage, ensuring bags are reunited with their owners promptly.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the baggage handling zone and equipment.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing passengers' inquiries or concerns related to baggage.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical ability to lift and maneuver bags weighing around 60 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail to accurately tag bags and match them with passenger information.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Prior experience in baggage handling, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
Familiarity with airport operations and security regulations is advantageous.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
