About the role

Join the Process Design and Optimization Team, which drives business process excellence across CMHC in an effort to maximize our outcomes for Canadians.

In the role of Specialist, Business Process Optimization, you will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to design new or re-engineer existing business processes.

By leading new program and process design, you will improve the quality and consistency of our client experience, and help ensure efficient delivery of our products and programs.

You will also examine the company's most critical business processes to reduce process complexity and variability, improve interdependencies with other processes, and generate increased capacity for innovative housing affordability solutions.

Both aspects of this role will include working in a high volume and fast-paced environment where you must be able to manage multiple projects that vary in size and complexity.

What you'll do:

  • Work with business lines and functions, using the Lean Six Sigma methodology (e.g. DMAIC), to identify, analyze, structure, prioritize, sequence and capture significant business process redesign and improvement opportunities with the objective to advance operational capability, efficiency and client experience.
  • Build commitment to business process management, continuous process improvement, performance measurement, client experience and employee experience through effective operating model design, process design, process reengineering, change management and implementation.
  • Help build the continuous process improvement capability across the organization through education, coaching, support and relationshipbuilding.
  • Identify and seek out opportunities to transform business processes through automation, advanced analytics, robotics, artificial intelligence and many other digital capabilities.
  • Foster and sustain quality relationships with senior leadership to enable the creation and/or strengthening of synergies between business lines.

What you should have:

  • An Undergraduate degree in business administration, sciences, engineering or a combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related Lean Six Sigma process improvement experience using relevant methodologies (e.g. DMAIC).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in process design using relevant methodologies (e.g. DFSS, DMADV, DMADOV, IDDOV).
  • A mandatory certification in Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyze business processes and workflows.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • A demonstrated experience communicating with senior management to influence management decision making and persuade others to take course of action.

It would be great if you also had:

  • An ADKAR certification in change management.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).

Posting closing date:
Note, the competition will remain active until filled.
