POSITION:
Material Handler

LOCATION:
Guelph, Ontario

LEVEL:
Individual Contributor

DESCRIPTION:
Seeking relief Material Handlers on contract until December. Must be able to work rotating shifts.

Starting rate:
$ applicable shift premiums. Sign on and retention bonus available.

Key Responsibilities:

Able to assist members of the distribution / warehouse department to ensure smooth operation of the production line and the flow of material
Load and unload trucks
Order assembly / pallet makeup & sorting
Maintenance of production and warehouse reports and reporting of information
Maintain a clean and safe workstation and area
Assist in onthejob training
Report unusual incidents, accidents and injuries immediately
Follow all company policies and regulations
Provide job shadowing when needed
Other miscellaneous duties as required

Requirements:

Forklift certification combined with previous forklift experience in a factory/warehouse environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Trouble shooting ability
Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24hour operation
Ability to handle heavy lifting on a continual basis
Computer knowledge: Microsoft Word & Excel, and experience with integrated warehouse management software (Oracle) an asset
Adhere to the food safety required as per job duties and report nonconformities
