Responsibilities:

• Performing MRI examinations following prescribed standards
• Producing required images following departmental protocols
• Utilizing protective safeguards and safety rules within the MR environment
• Documenting all necessary information in the Radiology Information System
• Adhering to departmental and organizational policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario in MRI
• Minimum 2 years of technical experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• 2 years of proven knowledge and experience in MRI safety
• Demonstrated communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• I.V. Certification and experience in administering contrast media
• Computer skills with knowledge of HIS, Ris, and PACS
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with interruptions
• Experience in scheduling, prioritizing, and triaging requests
• Knowledge of routine quality control procedures specific to MRI
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Physical ability to lift over 60 lbs. and stand/walk constantly
• Respect for confidentiality and current BCLS Certification
• Commitment to patient safety and punctual attendance
• Functional proficiency in English and French (oral)

Preferred:

• Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
