Job Title:
Technical Lead, Database

Location:
G3 Head Office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshoot complex database issues in accurate and timely manner
Identifies, defines and assesses the properties and specifications necessary for database management systems (DBMS) to meet current and future needs of the business
Develops and implements policies and procedures related to data security and integrity
Develops, maintains and monitors access policies, limiting database access on a needrelated basis
Assesses current and projected database performance, and recommends changes and enhancements
Maintain database high availability and disaster recovery procedures
Develop best practices for monitoring, performance and operational efficiency of enterprise database
Drafts detailed technical documentation, training documentation and guidelines for super users and support analysts
Protects data by developing data security and restoration controls
Establish and own the data governance process including the creation of best practices, policies, and standards
Perform other related duties as assigned

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering, computer science, or related field is preferred
Advanced proficiency in structured query language
Experience with database mirroring
Experience with Reads and writes transactSQL
Experience with designing, configuring, relational database management systems including SQL server
3+ years experience managing MS SQL built in Microsoft Azure Pipelines for both structured and unstructured data sets
Thorough understanding of database file structures/design and database control
In depth knowledge of data architecture, cloud databases and data management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer and Dynatrace monitoring for SQL DB is an added advantage
Broad knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
