Thompson Ditching has been operating for over 38 years, and is located in Lacombe, Alberta. Our operations include aggregate hauling, water and sewer installations/connections for both commercial and residential projects in Central Alberta. We are currently seeking an experienced equipment operator/labourer to join our team. This position could be Full Time Permanent to the right person. We offer a competitive salary and a benefits package (after 6 months of employment).Roles and Responsibilities:
- Must be physically fit heavy lifting and long hours required
- Pipe laying
- Heavy equipment operation
- Participate actively with the health and safety program
- Follow all DOT and company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of units
- Provide a highlevel of customer service
- Complete paperwork, such as timecards, pre/posttrip inspection reports etc.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment
- Knowledge and understanding of basic truck maintenance
- Proficient in reading, writing and understanding English
- Flexibility, ability to multitask and take instruction
Preferred Experience:
- Class 3 Driver's License
- Clean 3 year commercial driver's abstract
- Operation of heavyduty equipment, such as excavators, loaders etc.
Required Education:
- Safety tickets as asset
