HDR's Vancouver studio is in search of a Construction Administrator to join our growing practice in large complex hospital projects to service our project onsite in Dawson Creek.
Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Contract Administrator 1 located in Dawson Creek, BC.
, we'll count on you to:
- Actively participate as a team member in projects of various scales and complexities.
- Assist the Project Architect and/or Senior Construction Administrator during construction in performing submittal reviews, document interpretations (RFI's / questions), and construction observations to verify that the requirements of the construction contract are being maintained.
- Know and understand the Contract Documents drawings and project specifications
- Help enforce the design intent implicit in the Architect's prepared Contract Documents as well as have a working knowledge of the engineering design intent through documents prepared by consulting disciplines.
- Share your unique talents and contribute to enhance our studio culture
Qualifications
We seek those who:
- Possess advanced knowledge of various contracting concepts and follow and enforce company and client requirements
- Can be resourceful, flexible, and adaptable to changing demands and priorities
- Are detailed oriented and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Newforma, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, and familiarity with CA document control software
- Can address questions and issues across all levels of the company or other parties involved
- Have 5+ years' contractrelated experience; advanced degree or contract certification program may substitute for years of experience
- Hold a Architectural Technology Diploma or Bachelors in Architecture, Construction Management or closely related field
- Have a positive attitude and commitment to be an active participant of our employeeowned culture.
- Be able to attend and report to the site meeting in Dawson Creek daily and as required. Preference for an applicant residing in Dawson Creek City, BC or nearby
