Responsibilities:
- Accountable to successfully lead the Canada Technology organization. The Region spans multiple countries.
- Responsible for building a longterm vision that balances against shortterm goals and aligns to companywide goals and objectives
- Create and oversee the overall Canada IT budget; decide on technology funding and align budget to the greatest business value
- Develop a strong culture of continuous improvement and exceptional quality
- Strong knowledge of technical architecture and the proven experience to translate business needs into technical solutions; cloud experience preferred
- Develop strategic relationships with the senior executives in a matrixed environment
- Implement and oversee internal and external controls and ensure adherence to all legal and policy requirements as it relates to security at TU Canada
- Lead by example; motivate and develop TU associates in crossfunctional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals in a fastpaced environment.

- Proven thought leader in great engineering and development practices, agile delivery, enterprise architecture and deep expertise in large transformational programs; ability to be seen as the thought leader for all Canada stakeholders and global technology teams
- Successfully developed and implemented a strategic vision; proven success in implementing changes with outcomes that would align to a top performing technology organization that is focused on delivery, security, and quality
- Proven ability to organize, plan and implement large strategic transformation programs; able to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrated ability to bring forward the benefits of IT to solve business issues while also managing costs and risk
- Experienced and comfortable with working in a matrixed environment; proven ability to be highly influential with or without direct control
- Analytically and quantitatively astute; comfort with financial planning and business case evaluation
- BS or BA in Computer Science, Business, EE or related discipline required. MBA, MS or other advanced degree is valuable.
