T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC.


Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec.

The Company's continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The Role:

Reporting to the Meat Department Head (or his/her delegates), the Meat Cutter is responsible to trim, cut, chop and prepare various meat products in advance for customers to choose from.

The position also needs to stock meat products onto the display cases in the sales area, follow FIFO concept, provide good service to our customers by fulfilling their requests, and maintain inventory and workplace cleanliness.


  • Major Responsibilities: Process by trimming, cutting, chopping various meat products using the meat cutting equipment and tools
  • Store meat products properly and timely after cutting to prolong shelf life, following FIFO concept
  • Maintain inventory and ensure full display of various meat products
  • Prepare various meat products for sales activities, include but not limited to cut, debone, slice, pack and label various meat products and display them in the display coolers
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness, wash and ensure relevant work tools are clean and wellkept
  • Assist customers in meat product selection and recommendations, as required; provide good customer service with a smile, friendly enthusiasm
  • Provide meat product guidance and related meat cutting knowledge to other staff members
  • Familiar with the location of various meat items; keep selfupdated with all Meat Department promotion activities
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior

Ability Requirements:
Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays

  • Able to operate meat cutters and other tools in a safe manner
  • Be prepared to stand for a long time, deal with products hands on and lift products of 40 pounds on a regular basis
  • Be prepared to work in low temperature (04 °C), freezing temperature (18°C), and wet environment for a long time
  • Not allergic to handle meat products
  • Able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin)
  • Knowledge of basic work and food safety
  • Relevant experience in handling meat products is preferred
  • Pass internal meat cutter tests such as: meat cutting skills, written professional meat assessment etc
