Job Description:


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct verifications of food safety and regulatory compliance programs to ensure Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in all departments are being followed:
  • Food Safety Plan: Process, Sanitation, Allergen, Supply Chain preventative controls, calibration and verification of calibration of equipment's, thermometer, scales, etc.
  • Quality Standards: net weight control, recipe control, nonconforming products/material control, identification/ traceability, label verification, finished product sampling and evaluations including organoleptic attributes of the product matches with specifications, etc.
  • Attend production shift huddles each shift in accordance with TMOS
  • Collect environmental and allergen swabs and perform analytical and sensorial testing and analysis of inprocess and finished product samples according to approved standard operating procedures. Record and evaluate test data and notify the Quality Supervisor, Shift Production Supervisor and QA Manager of any deviations from the product specifications
  • Perform allergen protein testing, Moisture, Water Activity as per standard operating procedures and work instructions and documentation of results
  • Perform verification of the Certificate of Analysis (COA) of incoming raw ingredients and record the data by adhering to plant Receiving Procedure
  • Assist in the investigation of customer complaints, quality incidents and deviations to standard
  • Perform administrative duties such as maintain records, forms and logs including computer databases
  • Performs GMP and Internal Inspections of the facility, communicates results and followsup completion of corrective actions
  • Other duties, as assigned by QA Team Lead and/or QA Manager

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in degree and/or diploma program in related Science courses
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques, chemistry, microbiology and math skills is a plus
  • Must have good knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under stressful situations
  • Possess strong analytical, organizational and judgement skills
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible to work afternoon/night shift when required
