Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd.

(Triton) has experienced tremendous growth over the last two years and as part of our continued expansion, we have openings for Operations Managers in both our Calgary and Vancouver office locations.

We are seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated team players to fill these roles.

Triton is an employee-owned environmental consulting firm with over 30 years of experience responding to the environmental needs of resource developers across all sectors and levels of government.

Our clients look to us to provide a wide range of scientific, technical, and management expertise that merge to provide practical environmental solutions.

We are a multi-disciplinary team, including environmental professionals specializing in aquatic and terrestrial biology, soil science, vegetation ecology, environmental assessment, environmental auditing, environmental monitoring/inspection, and resource management.


THE ROLE

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


You are an experienced manager who knows how to inspire your team to do their best, bringing with you a sound knowledge of the services in environmental consulting, supplemented by at least 10 years of progressive experience in an environmental consulting environment, as well as a relevant degree/diploma.

Additional skills and qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrated experience in relationship management across all stakeholders (operations, IT, Executives, senior management, HR, finance), and with clients
Intellectually agile, ability to bring order to chaos and lead change
Supervisory experience (has managed >10 direct reports)
Has managed a business unit with yearly revenue >$1M
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining a team of professionals to support projects and the business
Builds effective interpersonal relationships and has an ability to work well with others on the team creating a positive and productive work environment
Experience in leading, mentoring, and training staff both in projects and performance management
Demonstrated track record of risk, financial and budget management
Comprehensive network of industry and government contacts
Keen ability to proactively recognize and mitigate potential problems with staff or projects
