The National Account Manager - Canada will manage a territory of mid size accounts, with a focus on driving new and existing business.
Internal:
Marketing, New Product/R&D, Accounting & Finance, Logistics & Distribution, Quality Assurance.
Key Responsibilities and Contributions:
- Overall responsibility for the revenue growth, expenses and operating earnings for designated accounts.
- Identify, develop and execute new and ongoing strategies/tactics to drive new business growth, based on corporate strategies.
- Successfully sell in and launch new products as identified for customer set.
- Provide valuedadded, professional advice to retail customers based on Insights and Information analysis. Comfortable with Category Management Strategies and Analytics. Match Information to identified gaps/opportunities by customer. "Data Savvy".
- Identify, develop and expand business opportunities, as well as customer and broker relationships.
- Close sales by professionally and efficiently delivering major sales presentations.
- Responsibility for budgets, analysis, reports, financial performance, key measurements and contract performance of each account and broker.
- Provide weekly updates to VP Retail Sales. Frequent interaction with President, Retail and other C-Suite members.
- Frequent travel throughout the USA will be required. Occasional travel to Canada may also be required.
Requirements:
- 35 years experience in proactive new business development and account management within the Retail Channel.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales goals
- Prove track record of success in managing matrix (direct or broker sales team, internal cross functional).
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Professional appearance and mannerism, reflecting that of the Dessert Holdings culture.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High degree of organization, planning and multitasking skills.
- Entrepreneurial and innovation skill to drive a dynamic and creative workplace, and to creatively design new business opportunities.
- Demonstrated passion for continuous improvement and learning.
- Competitive fire.
- Knowledge of Instore Bakery Channel desired.
