As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families


Your services may include:

psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).


Additional Required Qualifications:

Diversity and Inclusion training. Indigenous awareness training. Basic Life Support. Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple physicians and agencies. Well-developed problem-solving skills. Active listening and empathy. Critical thinking for complex situations and solution focused. A proven team player with the ability to engage both families and dynamic professionals is essential. Must be highly organized.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a Pediatric critical care environment and experience in an acute care pediatric hospital setting. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Second language. Analytical skill. Well-developed written and oral communication.
