Richardson operates port terminals from coast to coast across Canada and exports Canadian-grown grains and oilseeds to end-use markets in over 50 countries around the globe.
This position is responsible for providing confidential administrative support to management and operating departments and performing a variety of administrative functions.
This is a part-time position requiring two days of work per week, with potential for additional hours during vacation coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently close off work orders and preventive maintenance tasks within the maintenance/asset management system
- Create purchase orders and work orders accurately
- Oversee orientations and ensure compliance with regulations
- Manage inventory of consumable goods
- Prepare documents, reports, and presentations; maintain spreadsheets effectively
- Organize documentation across departments
- Maintain confidentiality of filing systems and employee records
- Supervise janitorial staff
- Coordinate special events
- Provide support for communication and office equipment
- Offer backup coverage for training, scheduling, payroll, and accounting tasks
Qualifications:
- Administrative Certificate/Diploma or equivalent relevant education and/or experience.
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of effective interaction at all levels
- Strong selfstarter with adaptability to various situations and a teamoriented approach
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently
- Demonstrated willingness to undergo crosstraining and acquire knowledge about our business
- Outstanding organizational and communication abilities
Asset:
- Previous experience in a grain or food handling environment
- Previous experience working in a unionized environment
- Knowledge of IFS assets management system
- Knowledge of KRONOS payroll systems
