Job Overview:

Reporting to the Executive Chef, this person will lead, coach and support the dishwashing team in day-to-day operations in the kitchen including washing and properly storing cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware, glassware and organizing all areas in the kitchen.

This person will also be responsible in receiving deliveries, storing perishables, and rotating stock.

Specific duties would include, but are not limited to:

Follows the guidelines of the Food & Beverage Mission and Vision Statements to achieve the highest level of Member Satisfaction.
Opens and/or closes stewarding areas in accordance to The Boulevard Club opening and closing procedures.
Washes all dishware in dishwashing machine or by hand according to the highest sanitation standards.
Receives goods ensuring they have been received in good standing and prices are accurate in accordance with The Boulevard Club current purchasing and receiving practices.
Performs other tasks such as assisting in food preparation, storing foods after delivery and cleaning coolers, freezers and storerooms.
Assists in training other dishwashers.
Follows health & Safety as per the Club policies.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years previous work experience in a similar work environment.
Experience in a private club environment is an asset.

WHMIS training

On site.
Knowledge of Health and Safety Sanitation Standards.
Food Handler Certification Required
On site.
Excellent communication skills (speak, read and write).
Be physically able to lift reach, bend and stoop.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
