Quality Control Specialist - Mississauga, Canada - ONEWORLD STAFFING SOLUTIONS
Description
We are looking for Quality Control Specialist who will be responsible for inspecting products at the DC, during the unloading process of the inbound containers and orders that were picked and packed for the outbound shipments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- QC Checks inbound and outbound products.
- Removes and inspects products from inbound containers and outbound shipments
- Unboxes products completely and inspects for damage as per the SOP provided.
- Documents damages using various tools, including but not limited to: reports, camera (including photos), reports, Smartsheet and other tools used to document, with all information.
- Quarantine damaged products
- Repack products and ensure the product is taped and strapped before placing them into inventory
- Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies
- Process all returns in the warehouse from beginning to end within 24hrs
- Helps with special projects assigned by the DC manager, Supervisors or leads
- Works with all the departments to ensure inventory quality and accuracy are maintained
- Makes system transfers of all overflow warehouses movements
- Resolves any mis picks, overages or under picks
- Ensures all product is labeled properly and product dimensions are updated with new and existing products.
- Makes Inventory adjustments once approved by authorized personnel
- Updates various programs and spreadsheets used for tracking and documentation
- Sends endofday reports
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Maintains and promotes high standards of customer service maintaining a good relationship with internal customers
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret international customs and government customs documents
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, vendors, customers and coworkers.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office software programs, Excel, Word
- Use of inhouse WMS system, 3PL
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
Salary:
$20.00-$23.00 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
