Human Resources Specialist

Full-time Contract - up to 12 months

The Human Resources Specialist provides administrative support for the day-to-day operations of OntarioMD's

Human Resources department.

The Human Resources Specialist works closely with the Human Resources team to provide a customer-focused and effective HR service to the organization in support of its goals and objectives.

In conjunction with the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Specialist will:


Reporting & Analytics:


  • Develop standard reports for frequent requests of HR data from the organization.
  • Build reports, dashboards and visualizations that use multiple data sources and deliver meaningful insights for the HR team.
  • Support the creation of presentation materials with relevant data, visuals, and storytelling.
  • Audit system data to ensure the integrity of master data.
  • Maintain and enhance current reporting deliverables while exploring new and innovative ways to report and examine HR data.
  • Assist in the identification of key drivers that will retain and reward employees, drive performance and lead to a positive bottom line.

Talent Acquisition:


  • Support the recruitment cycle inclusive of:
  • Creating and maintaining job postings and review applicant pool.
  • Conducting telephone interviews, scheduling/participating in interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Supporting the employee onboarding process and "New Employee" orientation, preparing documentation for payroll.
  • Support the preparation of HR related documentation such as contract of employment letters and employment confirmation letters.

Administrative Support:


  • Support in the administration of the salary increase and bonus programs.
  • Track and followup on performance development planning.
  • Assist in employee training sessions, (i.e. Management Training, Lunch & Learns).
  • Support employee information sessions such as HR Reviews (30, 60, 90 day touchpoints) and Benefit Orientations.
  • Perform a variety of confidential administrative duties and provide administrative support for all HR programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Support special HR projects as needed.

Requirements that are important to us:

  • Successful completion of a post-graduate certificate or diploma in Human Resources Management.
  • Three five (35) years experience in a fastpaced, Human Resources environment.
  • Solid analytical and technical skills to gather, interpret and report on data from various sources and platforms.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Able to multitask under tight deadlines, set priorities, manage time and work independently.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, positive, and a selfstarting attitude.
  • Experience with SharePoint is an asset.
