This position can be fully remote or hybrid near Mitacs offices in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver or Ottawa_**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate and oversee the approval and execution of contracts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of contract management process/software. This involves working with relevant departments, and leading the selection, setup, and rollout of the software organization wide.
  • Liaise with the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, Finance and other relevant departments involved to support the contract management process.
  • Work closely with contract owner and relevant departments to ensure concerns are addressed and contracts are executed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate and assist the Associate General Counsel and Director, General Counsel and Governance, with all other required departmental needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with databases and SharePoint is an asset.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in contracts management, corporate services, or similar paraprofessional or paralegal roles
  • Strong process and knowledge management capabilities
  • Strong leadership and excellent customer service skills.
  • Detail oriented, superior organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision within a dynamic team, where problemsolving ability and enthusiasm will be highly valued.
  • Experience working on special projects and flexibility regarding types of tasks assigned and processes with initiative to develop new projects.
