JOB OPPORTUNITY:
Hiring a full-time Collections Clerk for our client in Edmonton. This is a contract opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reach out to overdue commercial account holders following established protocols to discuss payment options.
- Negotiate acceptable payment plans, including settlements where appropriate, while fostering positive rapport with clients.
- Provide guidance to customers to help them bring their accounts up to date.
- Address all inquiries, redirecting as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of all interactions.
- Maintain professionalism and persuasive communication to meet collection targets.
- Recommend appropriate actions for nonperforming or unresponsive accounts.
- Conduct skip tracing to locate customers who are no longer reachable.
- Collaborate effectively with sales and other team members to resolve outstanding accounts.
- Manage unapplied cash and search for missing payments.
- This role involves teamwork and may require supporting other team members as well as contributing to company strategies and values.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professionalism and attention to detail are a must.
- Ability to listen actively and persuade effectively.
- Goaloriented and selfmotivated.
Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
