Your work environment at EXP

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Executing on site concrete tests which includes casting cylinders, slump test, and air content tests
In Place Density testing using a Nuclear Densometer
Carry out asphalt and concrete coring
Collecting soil and asphalt samples on site
Some inlab work, such as testing concrete cylinders, grain size analysis, Proctor tests, asphalt tests, geotechnical index testing, etc.
Subgrade field reviews
Problem solving of project site issues
Attend staff and project meetings when requested
Interaction with clients and contractors to provide excellent service and a quick response to their testing needs.

What your experience looks like

Completion or in process of a qualified Civil Engineering Technology diploma program
Should have concrete, asphalt and soil testing exposure and/or experience
Must be comfortable working safely in the field on construction sites
Must have strong communication and people skills, and ability to work with wide variety of coworkers and clients
Must have a valid Canadian driver's license
Must have some MS Office skills
Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently is necessary
Must be able to meet deadlines, well organized and able to work under pressure
