Network Infrastructure
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society.

Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.


The team you will be a part of
As part of an Advanced Technologies team, you will work in a Research and Development lab. You will work closely with the lab users to run diverse and complex investigations on cutting-edge Nokia products.

Position:
Mechanical Lab Co-op / Intern
Duration: 4 months, with the ability to extend to 8 months

Date:
Sept 5th, 2023 to Dec 22nd, 2023

Location:
Onsite in Ottawa, Canada


What you will learn and contribute to

As part of the team, you will:

  • Assist in the failure analysis project work
  • Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment
  • Analyze crosssections of Nokia PCBAs, record results, and prepare simple PowerPoint presentations to summarize findings
  • Keep lab clean and organized

Your skills and experience

Education Recommendations

You have:

  • Eager to learn practical analytical lab techniques in the telecom industry
  • Interest in learning about telecommunications and printer circuit board assemblies
  • Mechanical aptitude

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Sound analytical skills and meticulous attention to details
  • Resourcefulness need to think outside of the box to solve a problem
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sharing ideas and information in a positive, effective and friendly way
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint and Excel)
