Network Infrastructure
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society.

Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

The team you will be a part of
As part of an Advanced Technologies team, you will work in a Research and Development lab. You will work closely with the lab users to run diverse and complex investigations on cutting-edge Nokia products.

Position:
Mechanical Lab Co-op / Intern
Duration: 4 months, with the ability to extend to 8 months

Date:
Sept 5th, 2023 to Dec 22nd, 2023

Location:
Onsite in Ottawa, Canada

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of the team, you will:

Assist in the failure analysis project work
Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment
Analyze crosssections of Nokia PCBAs, record results, and prepare simple PowerPoint presentations to summarize findings
Keep lab clean and organized

Your skills and experience

Education Recommendations

You have:

Eager to learn practical analytical lab techniques in the telecom industry
Interest in learning about telecommunications and printer circuit board assemblies
Mechanical aptitude

It would be nice if you also had:

Sound analytical skills and meticulous attention to details
Resourcefulness need to think outside of the box to solve a problem
Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Sharing ideas and information in a positive, effective and friendly way
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint and Excel)
