To continue to extend our lead in the industry, Fatigue Science is looking to add a well-versed and multi-skilled Office & HR Coordinator.
As the Office & HR Coordinator at Fatigue Science, you will be an integral part of a small and passionate administrative as well as people and culture team, and will oversee our office and HR functions.
What You'll Do
- Developing, reviewing, and improving administrative systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain the office to ensure it is fully stocked, clean and operational.
- Act as the first point of contact for deliveries and incoming phone calls.
- Support leadership team during strategy sessions, meetings, ad hoc sessions
- Lead the talent discovery process to recruit and retain top talent for the company that aligns with workforce plans and objectives. Full cycle recruitment and onboarding.
- Collaborating with Leadership Team to ensure interviewing, hiring, onboarding, offboarding processes are performed smoothly.
- Maintaining policies, procedures, and controls required for HR and general daily business operations (i.e. Employee Handbook, Performance Management Cycle, Compensation Cycle, Etc.)
- Process the semimonthly payroll run and related yearend reporting via Rise Payroll
- Provide support for HRrelated matters ranging from: payroll and benefits, recruitment, orientation, talent development, employee relations, disputes and investigations, compensation, disability claim management, performance management or disciplinary process, employee engagement, etc.
- Take ownership and responsibility for the ongoing management, administration, and data integrity of all P&C technology resources, tools and programs.
- Collaborate with team members to establish goals and manage team performance.
- Manage HRIS system (BambooHR).
- Lead the planning and implementation of social events.
- Lead the employee recognition program including milestones, birthdays, anniversaries, and spotlights.
- Assisting Finance and CEO with adhoc projects
What You Bring to the Table
- Combination of related work experience and certification from postsecondary
- 2+ years of progressive and handson Human Resources experience
- Handson role that requires building and developing capabilities in a growth setting with a small, but high performing team
- Proven ability to influence and drive change with management teams and across startup organizations, aligning people strategy with company values
- Knowledge and experience in payroll and implementing HR programs in compliance with legislative requirements
- Hardworking, passionate, and entrepreneurial attitude
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Critical thinking and problemsolving skills
- Attention to detail
- Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges
- Organizational, planning, and documentation skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
- Systems experience with Rise Payroll and BambooHR would be beneficial, but not mandatory
- This is a hybrid position with the expectation of around 60% inoffice and 40% remote work.
