- Developing the departmental strategic plan, including budget reporting, and setting operational direction for Scheduling activities
- Promoting, training and managing departmental resources to ensure successful provisioning of regional scheduling services
- Providing subject matter expertise on operational and departmental decisions
- Project lead and business representative on a newly implemented Scheduling Software
- Liaising with other functional and departmental teams to ensure full integration of operational objectives, purposes and achievements
- Providing analysis and reporting of significant operational events to executive leadership
- Hiring and mentoring Management level staff within Scheduling Services and establishing clear performance review plans for each team member
- Developing and implementing processes that foster team success by ensuring consistent best practice and optimal scheduling processes are in place
- Facilitating interdepartmental teamwork and cross-functional collaboration

DIRECTOR, SCHEDULING SERVICES

The Opportunity
We are searching for a Director, Scheduling Services to lead the development of long-term strategies and the day-to-day management of operational scheduling services.
In this role, you will work closely with counterparts in Operations to meet crewing requirements and company objectives through the provision of accurate, cost-effective and timely employee schedules in accordance with policy, collective agreement and regulatory rules and requirements for vessel and shore positions.
You also provide significant input in corporate strategies, and are ultimately responsible for the long-term financial, budgetary and operating results for Scheduling Services.

Reporting to the Executive Director, People Experience & Scheduling Services, your key areas of oversight will be:
What you bring to the team
You are a strategic thinker who is able to tackle critical large-scale issues using rational thinking and reasoning. You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline and you bring 10+ years of progressive experience in operational planning and/or scheduling within a fast-paced, unionized environment. You also have 7-9 years of proven experience in implementing effective strategic initiatives, building and managing large operating budgets and leading high performing teams.

Additional information
The target salary range: $121,800 - $152,200 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate's knowledge, experience and internal equity. Starting salary may exceed the target range on exceptional basis.
