May be located in Toronto or Montreal
Develop, implement, and manage Air Canada's on-going global distributor partnership strategy with the goal of increasing Air Canada's revenues.


Responsibilities:


  • Identify objectives and targets for each relationship, with a focus on Air Canada revenue
  • Strategically develop and negotiate global distributor's incentive plans.
  • Responsible for delivering the value of each relationship through ongoing analysis of performance, identification of opportunities or competitive threats and subsequent development of commercial actions.
  • Develop and implement national sales business plans with clear objectives aligned with Air Canada's corporate commercial strategies.
  • Liaise and facilitate work with relevant branches to resolve issues presented by the global distributor and/or Air Canada.
  • Provide guidance and direction to relevant branches in furthering the understanding of the various business approaches, commercial and technical/operational, within the global distributor's environment and the impact that evolving Air Canada's new business model strategy may have on those approaches.
  • Influence global distributor to make Air Canada the carrier of choice.
  • Gain understanding and support from the global distributor for product, pricing, distribution, schedule, and operational changes. Provide feedback on global distributor needs and priorities to Marketing through OTR process.
  • Jointly meet with global distributor/Air Canada Executives and followup on action items raised during meetings.
  • Demonstrate the role Air Canada plays as a key provider of transportation services and generator of economic benefits for the global distributor.
  • Organize and participate in global distributor's commercial events. Speak on behalf of Air Canada. Manage and approve, as appropriate, spending on joint commercial activities.
  • Initiate activities that will increase and enhance Air Canada's exposure to the global distributor.
  • Respond effectively to rapid changes in the market place by successful internal and external communication to ensure customer service and Air Canada revenue protection. At all times, take appropriate action to highlight positive effects, but mitigate possible negative impact.
  • Find innovative commercial solution to often complex issues raised either by the global distributor or Air Canada.

Qualifications

  • University degree required with specialization in a businessrelated field (Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, etc.) or other quantitative disciplines (Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, forward and conceptual thinking.
  • Welldeveloped leadership, communication, relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Financial orientation.
  • Ability to cope with irregular and/or multiple work demands.
