Your Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with Engineers to develop 3D structural models and 2D drawings using BIM technologies
- Control the creation of new models and the quality of BIM deliverables
- Work closely with Engineers and Drawing Office to identify needs and plan for model integration
- Collaborate and coordinate internally or/and externally with other disciplines design and model changes
- Continual improvement of design & drafting process to improve efficiency and reduce design cycle times
- Implement BIM drafting standards to maintain consistency across all 3D structural models and 2D drawings
- Manage and prioritize tasks to meet scheduled deadlines
- Maintain and grow construction industry technical knowledge
Position Requirements:
- Structural/Architectural technology diploma/certificate, Architecture degree, or equivalent
- Minimum of 24 years of experience in the AEC industry
- Proficient in BIM software programs including Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with collaboration solutions such as BIM 360 Model coordination, BIM 360 Design
- Proficient in MS Office, Bluebeam
- Experience with Dynamo, Rhino 3D and Grasshopper considered an asset
- Knowledge and experience implementing BIM Standards considered an asset
- Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Able to work under and meet tight deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and eye for design
- Knowledge of building science and construction techniques
- Knowledge and experience with timber design & detailing considered an asset
- Able to recognize when technical problems are developing and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Position terms and conditions
This is a permanent full-time position. We are headquartered in Abbotsford, BC, Canada with an office in Seattle, WA. This role would be located in BC or Seattle with flexible office/work from home options.
