Description
IRISNDT Corp. has an immediate, full-time positions available for Wind Service/Composite Technicians within our Wind Services Department.Job Duties:
- Conducting wind turbine maintenance, inspection, and repair activities;
- Assisting with the setup, inspection, and maintenance of wind turbine systems and equipment;
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams, including operations, maintenance, and technical services, to complete projects and resolve any issues;
- Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to wind turbine maintenance;
- Staying up to date with the latest wind turbine maintenance techniques and technology;
- Perform simple to complex fiberglass repairs to rotor blades, nacelles, and nose cones on various wind turbines.
- Support rigging and platform operation teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including at heights;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Valid driver's license;
- Travel (including overnight stays out of town) will be required;
- 1+ years fiberglass experience;
- GWO certification would be an asset;
- Experience with basic electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance tasks would be an asset.
Safety Requirements:
- Steeltoe boots are required; IRISNDT will provide additional PPE.
