    PRODUCTION/METER ASSEMBLY AND TEST
  • ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN_ _to our Lindsay team._

Electronic Technician Responsibilities_

  • Testing Circuit Boards
  • Responsible for Component level repair of Circuit Boards
  • Back up to Meter Assembly and Test
  • Implement the requirements of SE0
  • Responsible for assembly and test of potential transformers, current transformers and electronics
  • Responsible for Meter Assembly and Test Inventory
  • Responsible for reviewing submitted configurations to ensure completeness and accuracy;
  • Responsible for notifying submitting Technician and/or Project Coordinator to verify accuracy
  • Responsible for testing and documentation of new and RMA circuit boards;
  • Responsible for servicing CBSI meters and reporting conditions as found accurately and derive solutions (weekly meetings);
  • Maintain detailed records of everything;
  • Responsible for completing Technician Training Program and offering input for development;

Experience/Knowledge/Ability_

  • Ability to learn to use meters, scopes, and other test equipment for production testing and calibration;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently when necessary;
  • Ability to use specific software such as: MS Word, MS Excel, HOST, HDial, CTauto, PASS
  • Familiar with Meter Shop requirements under Quality Assurance Program i.e. NCR's
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrates solid problemsolving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronics to the component level;
  • Willingness to learn and offer suggestions for improvement is encouraged
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Good vision and hand/eye coordination

Qualifications_

  • Post-Secondary education, preferably in electronics engineering
  • Experience with prototyping, design and verification within Measurement Canada and product safety and environmental standards
  • Ability to read and use assembly drawings to assemble products

Working Conditions_

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and ESD Control devices
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Occasionally required to work evenings and/or weekends to meet deadlines
