Description

We are looking for an upbeat, passionate and honest individual to join our team, Perferably somone who is looking to grow with us, and someone who really takes health care to the next level when it comes to dealing with patients.

The duties associated with our open position for the Orleans Cardiopulmonary Group are to answer and forward telephone calls, schedule appointments, communicate with Physicians, greet patients arriving at the office, direct patients to appropriate health professional or service, and perform other related duties.

Must be detail orriented and able to read and write in the english language as our medical records are transcribed in English.


The position requires at least 1-2 years of experience as a clerk or receptionist preferably in a medical environment such as a clinic or a family health team.

Experience with Electronic Medical Record Software would be an asset. Our clinic currently uses Oscar EMR


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Book patient appointments
  • Respond to enquiries using official language of the caller
  • Followup telephone calls for "no show" patients
  • Greet patients in a caring, welcoming and professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with needs of allied health professionals
  • File and maintain patient charts
  • Prepare patient receipts as required
  • Open and file/distribute incoming mail accurately and efficiently
