Position
We are seeking an
Ice Bridge Attendant
for a full-time/temporary position from mid January to end of March.

**This is a fly-in, fly-out position at the Minto mine site with travel to Whitehorse, YT and charter flight to site every Thursday travel day.

Rotation is 2 week on/2 week off. Travel to/from Whitehorse is paid for by the Company.

You will have:

3 years experience as a junior operator;
Experience working in a remote mining or industrial environment;
Must be eligible to work in Canada;
Ability to develop and foster strong working relationships;
Ability to work with a diverse crosscultural workforce;
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities;
Valid driver's license;
Physically fit to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

Inspect all site owned vehicles prior to leaving site;
Validate all incoming vehicles on the manifest prior to crossing the bridge;
Administer a daily log of all incoming and outgoing traffic over the ice bridge;
Inspect under every vehicle for leaks, investigate any leaks and log the company and driver vehicle information. Advise drivers to repair before returning or deny them access if the leak is present the vehicle will be denied access;
Log any vehicles and company names who are denied access;
Responsible for radio checks and control radio traffic;
Assist in maintaining the ice bridge;
Advise drivers of road conditions and any traffic concerns;
Keep the area from KM 27 to and including the east landing clean and organized;
Maintain a high standard of performance in your duties;
Participate in site specific training;
Comply with company standards, as well as Yukon Territory and Canadian federal standards;
Other duties may be assigned from time to time as required by the Company.
Priority consideration will be given to Selkirk First Nation citizens, Northern Tutchone citizens, Yukon First Nations and residents of Yukon Territory._
