Summary:


The Bottling Maintenance Manager is responsible for the troubleshooting, upkeep, and maintenance of all bottling line equipment operations, including safety and repair.

The Bottling Line Maintenance Manager will oversee all bottling equipment and work to perform several mechanical and electrical tasks including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and modification of bottling production equipment.

You also will work part-time on the line and manage periodic repairs as they appear in real time.

You will be responsible for concerning outsourcing, ad hoc projects, and project management.

Our primary goal is to keep our bottling lines operating line in a safe, efficient, productive and cost-effective manner, with an emphasis on quality and consistency while meeting internal and external expectations.

Therefore, safety, quality, efficiency, communication and teamwork are of paramount importance in role.

Vice President - work alongside the Production Manager

You Will:


  • Evaluate and assess bottling line equipment for safe operation, order parts needed and help manage inventory/tracking
  • Perform necessary changeover of the bottling line machinery and equipment promptly and oversee startup after changeover.
  • Repair machinery and equipment needed to keep the bottling line, conveyors, production machinery, storage area running
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain related records
  • Assembly, installation and upkeep of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Create and review Bottling Line and Bottling Maintenance SOPs; ensure adherence to established standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Communicate with supervisors, line workers, Quality Assurance (QA), senior management, and coworkers
  • Operate, maintain, and responsible for all of the facilities operating systems, including water systems, wastewater, electrical, refrigeration, heating, boilers, propane, and compressed air
  • Perform minor and routine repairs including painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities
  • Provide lighting maintenance on incandescent, fluorescent, halogen, metal halide, HPS and emergency fixtures
  • Direct and supervise subcontractors, engineers and vendors of multiple disciplines
  • Make recommendations to management when contracted work is needed
  • May occasionally assist with general production operations depending on work / staffing needs
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

You Have:


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in bottling maintenance with at least one in a supervisory capacity
  • Demonstrated experience and full understanding of all bottling line machinery and controls
  • Ability to routinely prioritize, analyze, organize, and meet deadlines
  • Will direct work of subordinate staff in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people, and to report out information succinctly and effectively to senior management
  • Demonstrated experience with mechanical / electrical troubleshooting, compressors, dryers, boiler systems, and PLCs
  • Knowledge of industrial electricity, 110v, 220v, and 480v three phase
  • Experience with simple and complex repairs on all aspects of bottling (including labeler, counter pressure filler, gravity filler, ROPP cap, screw cap, rinser, etc.)
  • Must be able to work independently/without direct supervision
  • Preferable welding skills which must include stainless and aluminum
  • Forklift experience is great to have
  • Ability to work in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Will speak, read, and write English
  • Can follow, observe, and enforce all safety rules and regulations
  • Will work overtime or longer hours as workflow dictates
  • Ability to respond quickly to requests and adjust to production schedules, etc.
  • Ability to routinely lift and carry heavy items, up to 40 lbs.
  • Clean driving record (ability to be covered under company insurance)
