We are looking for a Payroll Advisor to join our team on a 12-month contract in Calgary, AB.Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will work as part of a team responsible for processing payroll for 350+ employees across Canada.
What you will do:
- Ensure compliance and accuracy, using ADP Workforce Now including setting up new hires, processing terminations, changing pay rates, recording taxable benefits and other payroll entries and adjustments as needed
- Provide support to managers with timesheet entry, vacation tracking, labour coding, report building as well as supplying payroll reports for review
- Create and upload payroll journal entries to the accounting program for multiple company accounts, separate journal entry for payroll balancing, adding new properties, position or pay codes, as required
- Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing
- Determine and correct any out of balance conditions
- Prepare a variety of payroll related documents for documenting activities and issues, meeting compliance requirements, and providing audit references
- Assist with payroll year end reporting and processing activities including T4 processing
- Provide payroll support for onboarding new company acquisitions
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
- Minimum Grade 12 with a postsecondary diploma/degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional payroll designation, such as PCP or CPM or currently working towards attaining
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now, including reporting functionality, with a minimum of one year experience processing payroll across Canada including multiple provinces and territories
- Knowledge of employment labour standards
- Demonstrated experience handling confidential information with discretion
- Attention to detail and accuracy with a high volume of data
- Highly organized with solid analytical and problemsolving skills
- Able to consistently meet deadlines, under pressure, while effectively balancing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated time management skills paired with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Experience in benefits administration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
- Competent with MS office suite with a minimum of intermediate level of competency in Excel
Job Types:

Contract length: 12 months
Salary:
$53,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
