    Job description:

    Essential duties and responsibilities include:

    • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
    • Play an active role in the month-end financial close and reporting process. Perform monthly financial analysis and communicate to the relevant colleagues in order to support managements decision-making and scenario analysis.
    • Report monthly financial results. Conceive and implement cost management initiatives with the goals of reducing overall spending and lowering the cost per unit sold metric. Drive cost management throughout the organization by promoting a culture of spending control and accountability.
    • Support the annual Planning process through financial analysis and entry of planning figures in the relevant financial systems.
    • Oversee annual physical inventory.
    • Responsible for monthly tracking of off-site (consignment) inventories.
    • Prepare the quarterly Inventory Reserve (manual devaluation).
    • Coordinate issuance of Dealer agreements (contract review/oversight).
    • Ensure full compliance with Sales & Use Tax filings and payments for the required provinces.
    • Conduct quarterly self-assessment of compliance with corporate guidelines (internal control).
    • Support the annual external audit, including preparation of PBC (Provided By Client) documents and responding to auditors questions and requests.

    Qualifications:

    Requirements:

    • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience supporting the activities of manager/director level professionals in the financial area.
    • Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA is a plus.
    • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills at all levels from Corporate down through all levels, including the ability to interact with executive-level officers.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • A self-starter and self-motivator and ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Detail-oriented.
    • Enthusiastic, team player, and results-oriented.
    • Advanced skills in Excel are required, with working knowledge of other office tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
    • Database manipulation experience is preferred.
    • SAP experience is a plus.
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
