Our company, a logistic management, distribution, and warehousing enterprise is expanding and requires the right person to join their team and contribute to the on-going success of their operation.


We are looking for an experienced container coordinator to ensure efficient operations in a timely manner to ensure service standards.


The main responsibilities are:


  • Plan and coordinate the movement of containers to and from the warehouse or distribution center.
  • Monitor container availability and ensure containers are in the right place at the right time.
  • Track container inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with shipping carriers, trucking companies, and container suppliers to schedule container pickups and deliveries.
  • Resolve any transportation or containerrelated issues, such as delays, damages, or missing containers.
  • Ensure that all container and shipment documentation, including bills of lading and customs documentation, is accurate and compliant with regulations.
  • Manage container storage and ensure proper handling of goods.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure smooth container flow and loading/unloading processes.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment,
  • Execute any other logistics administrative related tasks as assigned by the direct Manager.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 2 years of transportation and container experience;
  • Knowledge of container operations;
  • Team player;
  • Strong communication, organization skills and attention to detail;
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Truckmate, PC Miller and link logistics.) (An asset);
  • Ability to communicate in French.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to rapidly learn and perform tasks related to the department or units regulations, policies, rules, functions, procedures, or processes;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with office staff, drivers and/or customers;

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)


Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Forklift Licence (preferred)
