Base rate of $41.63 per hour

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and/or other materials
  • Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware.
  • 50% rough carpentry and 50% finish carpentry
  • Ability to install and finish drywall, painting, interior systems, Tbar ceilings and finish carpentry.
  • Class 5 Drivers License (not GDL)
  • To be considered for this position you must be a registered Journeyperson or 34th year in the trade of Carpentry
  • Good Physical Condition and able to twist and bend, and perform repetitive type movements
  • Able to push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Able to work at heights
  • Experience working on industrial sites would be considered an asset
  • Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
