Responsibilities:


  • Order materials for requests of fabrication.
  • Order materials for stock.
  • Keep track of productivity in the shop, by the shop workers
  • Improve productivity where applicable
  • Schedule fabrication ahead of time
  • Handle emergency orders alongside deadline orders
  • Prepare takeoffs and pricing for new fabrication orders as they arrive for the requester to acknowledge price of request
  • Prepare takeoffs and pricing for possible new fabrication orders which the requester is looking for comparison to suppliers
  • Prepare takeoffs and pricing for metal projects, Small-Large, Supply both Labor/Materials, metal flashing/cladding
  • Quantify materials required for projects,
  • Read, Review, and Understand Drawings
  • Quantify labor required for projects (confer with metals department)
  • Request and Receive subcontractor pricing
  • Scheduling maintenance for various machines in the metal shop
  • Reviewing overall shop cleanliness and ensuring it is kept tidy
  • Arranging orders of fabricated metal to be delivered on requested dates with inhouse logistics department (Requisition for Deliveries).

Start/End time

  • Start at 6:00AM to arrange shop workers.
  • Finish at 3:00PM
