Job Expectations:

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Triage Attendant is responsible for planning, setting up, and releasing the movement of incoming and outgoing products efficiently as they pass through the distribution center.

The chosen individual will support the Operations teams by ensuring that all receiving documents are accessible, verified, and filled out in a timely manner in our Warehouse Management System (WMS). They will be responsible for accurately planning incoming orders, appointments, door assignments, and verifying orders to ensure that stocks are available for shipment to our various stores and customers. Verifying shipments and creating outgoing documents related to all transportation documents will also be required for this position.

Your Role:

• Analyze, close, and file completed orders and assist with transportation cost claims
• Schedule, set up, and release incoming and outgoing products in our WMS
• Plan appointments, assign doors, and verify orders
• Ensure documents are accurate and all necessary documentation is obtained to verify received quantity matches invoiced quantity
• Prioritize and forward orders and incomplete orders
• Receive and organize returned or incomplete missions
• Investigate and resolve receiving-related issues for accuracy
• Interact with transport drivers and address their questions or concerns while waiting during loading or unloading
• Maintain a clean work environment and inventory necessary supplies
• Handle all assignments and reports accurately and in a timely manner
• Cross-train, as needed
• Perform other tasks as requested

Skills We Are Looking For:

• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in inventory, shipping, or receiving in a warehouse environment (an asset)
• Knowledge of software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite and our current Warehouse Management System (Blue Yonder WMS would be an asset)
• Good operational knowledge in a distribution environment (an asset)
• Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
• Analytical mindset and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex problems; creative approach to problem solving
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail
• Full commitment to providing and maintaining a safe work environment
