Accounts Payable Clerk

KML Windows Inc., a division of Andersen Corporation, currently has an opening for a Accounts
Payable Clerk.

The incumbent of this position provides direct support for processing day-to-day vendor invoices, reconciliation of vendor statements, providing customer service to all vendor inquiries, control of the funds disbursement processes and resolving issues in a timely and accurate fashion by performing the following duties:


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Threewaymatch customer invoices, packing slips and purchase orders
  • Process vendor invoices for payment.
  • Maintains A/P vendor records and associated maintenance.
  • Analyzes and resolves invoice discrepancies in a timely and costeffective manner.
  • Processes vendor payments in a timely and costeffective manner.
  • Prepare and execute weekly cheque run
  • Prepare and enter journal entries and accruals for Period End
  • Resolves vendor payment issues in a timely and costeffective manner.
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding vendor information.
  • Analyzes/reconciles vendor statements.
  • Prepares monthly assigned balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Prepare and distribute Period End spend reports to appropriate managers
  • Data entry for inventory and assist Finance team in reconciliation of inventory
  • Initiates and recommends process improvements.
  • Supports system conversions and upgrades as necessary.
  • Perform other finance department duties as requested

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


  • 25 years Accounts Payable experience
  • Strong administrative experience
  • Excellent Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Able to work independently exercising sound judgement in reviewing and assessing data
  • Able to handle heavy workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • General knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Flexibility and willingness to adjust quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
  • Professional and positive manner a must
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Quick learner with proven analytical ability
