Job Purpose:


The Pacific Alliance Country Relationship Manager of International Wealth Management Finance, will work closely with several finance teams across the Bank's international footprint, providing support in the planning/forecasting and reporting processes, as well as providing guidance and leadership.

Contributes to the overall success of International Wealth Finance in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

1) Drives the Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Plan for Pacific Alliance Countries (Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia), including:

  • Coordinating the high level and detail Forecast and Business Planning processes
  • Review Business and Country growth assumptions and assess for reasonability when comparing with economic forecasts and available product assumptions
  • Coordinating the projections with the Country and Business Line heads and ensuring alignment among internal partners & targets
  • Preparing executive summaries for Finance and Business Line executives

2) Manage the reporting of Pacific Alliance Country results (actuals)

  • Ensure accuracy and challenge variances
  • Hold monthly review meetings with countries
  • Improve quality and timing of information reported
  • Review country allocations on an ongoing basis for appropriateness
  • Draft and own concise financial commentary
  • Review for commentary with executives and business teams
  • Point out trends, risk and opportunities
  • Always be forwarded looking in discussions

3) Act as Business Partner to support the Bank/ business strategy

  • Support the implementation of strategies such as the Global Wealth Customer Primacy strategy
  • Support the Integration of divestitures and newly acquired entities in existing reporting, forecasting and plan processes
  • Identify and capture material opportunities based on performance analysis of the business lines.
  • Drive quarterly segment/ product discussion with countries
  • Continue to act as trusted business partner.

4) Manages ad-hoc Business analysis to support business strategies

  • Examples include Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing (EWST), Business Line Management initiatives, Profitability Models, Business Development initiatives, operational efficiencies and any other financerelated inquiries as formulated by Senior Management and Sales Management Groups.

5) Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

6) Other

  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her/they respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or quantitative discipline.
  • Professional designation or MBA preferred
  • 5 year's work experience in financial industry, experience in FP&A
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, especially with senior level management (VP+)
  • Knowledge of wealth management products/businesses
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products
  • Experience with Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning & Forecasting and PeopleSoft
  • Fluency in Spanish an asset
