Key Responsibilities:

Use and maintain tools and equipment required for performing various work activities
Assist in docking and undocking vessels
Setup for specified work on a vessel or job site
Perform fire watch and confined space watch duties
Able to work with mínimal supervision
Assist skilled trades workers within the shipyard performing general labour work
Compartment turnover readiness and cleaning
Able to safely and efficiently be able to use different types of power tools
Being a team player is a must

Qualifications:

High School Diploma
Less than 2 years of experience
Ability to work with different types of materials or products such as general metal products, construction materials solvents or coatings including understanding or being able to learn mixing industrial marine coatings and products.
Must be able to wear respiratory protection as required
Physical effort and work condition
Must be capable of working at heights from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms and in extreme confined spaces
Frequently handle, lift, carry, and set up parts and equipment that weigh up to fifty (50lbs) pounds
A preemployment physical is required
